Set up your products and get organized with Claret's finished goods item hierarchy & item setup. Easily manage multiple brands, product/item groups, and vintage variations.

Finished Goods Item Hierarchy and Item Setup

To help you really get started with setting up Claret, we need to know a bit about the items you sell. The first thing we need to work through is how you group them.

For example, if you have multiple brands, you might group your products by Brand Group and then Brand and then Product/Item and then Vintage. So your hierarchical structure could look like this:

And an example product using this structure could like this:

To build out your structure, go to the "Finished Good" tab within the Item Hierarchy page.

Now that you’ve set up your hierarchical structure, you can go ahead and create your items. There are a couple of ways to do this.

  1. File import - we can import all your items for you. To do this, we will need a .csv or .xlsx sheet containing your items. The sheet will need a column for each level of your hierarchy, with a name and description each time.

Here is an example sheet using our example from above. You can copy this and change the header rows to match the hierarchy you built earlier.

  1. One by one - you can add your items and build your structure using the instructions detailed here.
