Overview

Hierarchies are a powerful feature in Claret that allow you to organize and group our core data types (e.g. Items and Customer Groups) to match your business. Claret Hierarchies are flexible and easy for you to maintain.

Out of the box, Claret provides you with hierarchies for Items and Customer Groups. Each hierarchy starts out with one level that you can add and update. Refer to the Customer Group and Item hierarchy guides to see how to maintain your hierarchies.

Important: You will want to update these hierarchies before moving on to creating your Items and Customer Groups. Not only do these hierarchies help to group you master data, but they are used heavily in aggregating and disaggregating your planning data as you make your projections.
